8th January
The group worked well together because we all listened to each others ideas and watched each others 3 key moments. I feel the group were also very supportive when everyone put ideas forward and when Sarah was making choices. I did not lead the group much because it was Sarah's role in this task to lead us and decide on ideas. However, when Sarah wasn't sure she would ask of my opinion or Eloise's so in some way when she asked for my opinion i look the leadership of the group for a short while.
I feel that in this task i was more a follower than a leader because i tended to just agree with other people ideas. Some of my ideas were used such as, the scratching on the floor at the end and the idea of lunging and reaching for the moon at the start of the phrase.
9th January
I think our group work well because we all contributed to the phrase and we all bounced off each others ideas. I took leadership when choreographing the standing part of the phrase for me and Harriet, however most of the time i feel Tamsin was leading the group, especially at the start.
I suggested the idea of the person being manipulated to fall back into the other persons arms and the standing part of the phrase. The only difficulties we found was making sure we were using contact work and that the movement we were using related to the theme of the task.
15th January
As seen in the video, i took the role of the leader this week because it was my task and i thought it would be a good chance to show my leadership skills. Most of the ideas i thought of the rest of the group agreed with as seen in the video however, I did use ideas suggested by other members of the group.
22nd January
In this task i feel like i was more of a follower than a leader, this is because i feel i suggested ideas however, i did not take control or lead the group when creating the phrase that was more Eloise. As a group, i thought we worked well as a team and everyone at some point did put ideas forward which helped us work well.
I suggested ideas such as, the swaying at the start and the dropping down in canon and they were the only ideas i gave that were used. The only difficulties we faced were people not listening. I tried to explain my idea of going down and touching the floor in canon but no one seem to really listen. After a while i managed to demonstrate the idea and then the idea was used but I had to try a couple of times before any one would listen. Another difficulty was that Eloise was leading the task and made the phrase very much like her style so the rest of the members in the group struggled to pick up the choreography.
5th February
I really enjoyed working with Sarah today because we both contributed an equal amount of ideas and both were very supportive of each other. For a change in this session i found i was actually more of a leader however, i feel this may have been because we only had a small group of people in this session so i feel like one of us needed to take the leadership role. In addition, i did let Sarah lead so of the session when she wanted too.
I suggest quite a lot ideas such as, the tilting of the head into the kick round and most of them were used apart from ones where Sarah developed my idea and made it better. I don't think we found any difficulties really apart from only having two of us so therefore we couldn't see how it would look as a group.
22nd February
19th March
Working with my group this week was okay, we all contributed and all listened. I felt that i was more of a follower this week however, I did contribute ideas and made sure my ideas were heard. I feel i was more of a follower this week but also developed off the ideas of the leader (Eloise) this week aux as, she said circular spring and i suggested changing the arms so they are more wolf like and bending our supporting leg to have a low centre of gravity phrase. The only difficulty we faced was to having our forth member which meant we had to create pathways that involved her but we weren't sure whether they would work because we were only imagining where she would go.
26th March
I enjoyed working with my group this week because we were able to create a section quickly but also spread out the work. So we decided that each of us would take two 8 counts for the section and take leadership and choreography it. So therefore, we took turns in being the leader and followers.
I suggested a few ideas for my two 8 counts but i mainly developed ideas the rest of the group gave me into the choreography i wanted it to be. I also gave ideas when it was the other members of my group's two 8 counts so they could have an array of ideas to choose from. We didn't face any issues this week.
16th April
I found working with others okay this week although we didn't really work that much as a group because we were doing our own solo parts. So i feel we were all leaders in are own ways. I suggested a few ideas to others when doing their solo's and i listened to ideas that were suggested to me about my solo.
The only difficulty we faced was not crashing into each other. Once we had choreographed our solos we had decided carefully were we travel so that none of use bumped into each other.
30th April
We didn't really have leaders and followers we were all sort of the same. We worked well because we ran the piece and any bits people didn't like we looked at and if people were confused on timing and spacing we looked at that too.
The only idea i suggested was used which was to go over timing and spacing of the circular motif and to check our spacing in the tech run which is on the show day.
